Reviewing the Range Rover Evoque

Land Rover Range Rover Evoque was for the first time presented at the North American International Auto Show in 2008, and then officially announced in 2010. The serial production of the model has started at Land Rover's Halewood manufacturing plant in 2011. Today, Range Rover Evoque is the most entitled model in Range Rover series. It has got more than 200 international awards and has been recognized as “The best compact crossover 2016” in Germany, France, Brazil and Spain.

The Evoque model was developed basing on LRX concept vehicle with diesel and petrol engine options. Despite the crossover is oriented on meeting the needs of city residents and doesn’t have the traditional for off-road cars frame construction, Evoque has perfectly introduced its capabilities in off-road driving mandatory program. The versatile use and impressive performance make this model highly appealing.

We have to mention, that the high demand on Range Rover Evoque model is largely attributable to its stylish design and comfortable on-road driving experience. Evoque series include three main types: five-doors, three-doors Cope and convertible. Each version is presented in different editions that were being released year by year since 2011: Pure, SE, SE Dynamic, HSE, HSE Dynamic, and Autobiography. The latest and the most exciting one is Range Rover Landmark Special Edition, made in alluring Morani Blue color following the original design.

What makes the Range Rover Evoque so popular is an incredible combination of powerful capabilities and beautiful construction. Compared to other models, Evoque has a steamlined shape that makes the car look very elegant. As Land Rover designers say, Evoque has won the hearts of the young generation of drivers and women. Besides having a great design and compact form, the model was given five stars on the safety assessment.

Another important feature of the Range Rover Evoque is that this model was designed with the high level of ecological consciousness aiming at reducing CO2 emission and ensuring fuel economy. The CO2 emission of the car accounts in 113g/km, when engine performs 65.7 mpg fuel economy. So, there is no wonder why customers gladly make a choice in favour of this efficient crossover.

Recently, the Land Rover announced new engines for Land Rover Discovery Sport and Range Rover Evoque of 2018 model year – gasoline four-cylinder aluminum engines of Ingenium family. The first engine is capable to perform 240 hp and 340 Nm of torque, and more powerful engine produces 290 hp and 400 Nm. In addition, the line of engines for both models will include two-liter diesel unit with a twin-scroll turbocharger. 

Range Rover Evoque has nine-speed automatic gearbox and comes completed with All-terrain Progress Control, which acts at low speeds and allows a driver to maintain a stable speed during the off-road driving. This option is also available on tarmac, sand or snow for forward and reverse gears. Moreover, considering that the noise of engine is minimal, the car will be extremely comfortable for long-distance rides at a medium speed. 

The Evoque model is equipped with InControl technologies, versions Touch and Touch Pro, which connect owner to the car. A driver can further choose one of the possible enhancements such as Connect Pack and Connect Pro Pack. The technology offers the wide range of variable features. Among the most significant ones are advanced navigation system, remote vehicle access, InControl Apps that allow you to manage your smartphone applications from the touchscreen in the car, and diverse multimedia options.
