Problem:
EGR valves tend to get blocked and gummed up. Cause poor performance and sometimes an EGR fault code.

FORD:
Ford Mondeo 2.0/ 2.2 TDCi - with the EGR fitted to the front of the engine

JAGUAR:
Jaguar 2.0/2.2 d X type - with the EGR fitted to the front of the engine

For Euro 4 style EGR valves you will require a blanking plate with a hole in.

Symptoms:
Poor or lumpy idling.
Poor torque low down the rev range.
Heavy black smoke on acceleration

Solution:

A blanking plate that simply slots into place behind the egr valve.
The turbo will spool up quicker and at lower revs.
Carbon won't build up inside the manifold and ports.
Smoother pick up from idle and better economy.
Longer DPF life
Blanking plates can sometimes cause the EML light to come on but will never put the car into limp mode.
